Fine, since it will be included into Linux 3.1, is it worth it creating
a bug for it?

As far as I know, I can't confirm the necessity to change any
configuration since I never tried that patch, but it does not look like
a patch that needs a configuration change. I am not an expert in this
kind of things, so I could be wrong.
